I have always loved a good jalapeno popper. Now that i have grown older, i appreaciate the vast array of flvours and styles of different cooks from around the world.

This recipe is a traditional jalapeno popper as my grandmother would have made it. While the ingredients are nothing extravagent it is the attention to detail and the care that made it a great first experience.

  • Jalapeño peppers - Cut 12 ounces of jalapeno peppers in half, also take out the seeds when you cut them in half.
  • Cream cheese - 12 ounces of cream cheese
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese - Get 8 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
  • Bacon bits - 1 tablespoon of baconbits
  • Breadcrumbs - 1 cup of dry bread crumbs
  • Oil - 2 quartz of frying oil to cook the poppers

A Great Recipe

Start with fresh jalapeños, cut them in half, then remove the seeds to get the perfect amount of heat. Stuff each half with a creamy mixture of strong cheddar, cream cheese, and finely chopped green onions for a great tartness. Secure a slice of smoky bacon around each stuffed pepper with a toothpick. Bake them in the oven until the bacon is crispy and the cheese has melted. The result? A delightful combination of creamy, peppery, and smoky aromas that will give any gathering a little spice.

Favorite picnic Spot

Elk Island National Park, just outside of Edmonton, is one of my favorite picnic sites. This park, located just a short drive from the city, provides a tranquil respite complete with magnificent lakes, meadows, and rich animals. Picnics are especially popular at Astotin Lake, which offers picturesque vistas, picnic tables, and chances for canoeing and hiking.

Turn left onto 121 St NW and continue for about 7 kilometers. Follow the signs for Elk Island National Park, which will be on your right. The drive takes approximately 20 minutes
